The fatty acid profile in tallow is uniquely compatible with our own skins biology, making it easy to absorb whilst nourishing at the same time. It is packed with vitamins D, K and the ever important vitamin E. It is free from synthetic, toxic chemicals used in many of today’s baby care products. Tallow was used as a staple in most vintage skin care recipes, over the years it has fallen somewhat out of fashion in favour of mass produced artificial cosmetic solutions. Tallow is extremely moisturising and has been found to be helpful in healing skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and other skin irritations. The tallow used in Chubby Bubby comes from organic, 100% grass-fed cattle which produces a softer consistency and has a higher nutrient content than cows fed purely grains.
ARE CHUBBY BUBBY BALMS CREATED ETHICALLY?
Yes, our products are never tested on animals, only us humans. The tallow used in our balms comes only from 100% grass-fed Australian cows that have been ethically farmed. Tallow is made from an animal by product that would otherwise be wasted. We believe in environmental sustainability and ethically sourcing all of the ingredients that go into our products.
WHY ARE SINGLE ORIGIN OILS IMPORTANT?
When a plant is grown outside of its native region, the process can require the use of fertilisers and non-organic soil conditioners which impact the important chemical properties produced in the oil.
WHAT IS SOLAR INFUSION?
Herbal oils are a concentrated natural remedy that preserve the medicinal properties of herbs. The warmth of the sun helps to speed up the process of infusing the oils with the herbs and there is also evidence to suggest the energy from the sun also helps to extract beneficial parts of the herbs.
WHY ARE YOUR BALMS STORED IN GLASS?
Plastic hangs around forever and can leak harmful chemicals into the products being stored in them. Our jars are BPA free and are recyclable. Plus, after a good rinse out you can reuse the jars for multiple purposes.
HOW DO I USE CHUBBY BUBBY BALMS?
Apply with clean dry hands to the affected area of baby’s skin. You don’t need to use much as a little goes a long way. If you find the skin greasy, you have used too much. It should absorb readily into the skin. Our balms aren’t just for babies, we’re finding mama’s use our balms to alleviate dry skin, chapped lips and as an everyday moisturiser (face & body).
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE?
Because we don’t add any nasties like synthetic preservatives , we recommend to use our balms within 10-12 months of purchase. Remember to store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
WHY DOES THE TEXTURE OF THE BALM CHANGE?
All our balms contain only natural products and therefore can slightly change texture when the temperature is altered. Some of our balms contain shea which, when exposed to changes in temperature can give off a slightly grainy texture – rest assured this does not mean it has gone bad. Our balms will become softer in the warmer months and firmer in cooler weather.
DO YOU SHIP TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA?
